A week away from France to Lancaster
A week is over since the day I arrived in Lancaster and so many things had already happened! Let me tell you.
I took the plane at Geneva (Switzerland) the 15th of January at 12 AM and arrived in Manchester at 13 PM. Thanks to the jet lag, I lost just one hour of time in the plane whereas the travel was of two hours of flight. It was the first time I took the plane so it was very new to me. The take off on top of the mountains overcastted of snow was beautiful, the flight in and on top of clouds bathed of sun was magnificent and the landing with the green countryside’s of England which were getting closer was awesome. All of these elements made this flight really great and unforgettable.
In Manchester, I took the train to Lancaster and I finally arrived at the station at around 4 PM. On thursday and friday, we had all the weathers : cloudy, sunny, rainy, snowy and hail. The Friday morning I went to the University to register, familiarize myself with the computers system of the school an meet the other Erasmus students. We are three Finnish students, one Norway student and three French students.
After many researches during the beginning of the week, we finally found a house. So we can say now that the Frenchies are roommates!
On Saturday 24th, we did our first visit in England outside of Lancaster in Morecambe. It is a little town at two miles from Lancaster which is at the seaside.
In my next article, I will talk you about the University of Cumbria where I am studying, the lessons I am following and the first classes I had since I am in Lancaster.
Thank you for the reading!
To be continued…
